Get ready for a gripping new documentary that shines a spotlight on the real lives of Filipino soldiers.

Led by 2nd Lieutenant Matteo Guidicelli, Philippine Defenders is GMA Public Affairs' newest documentary that offers a close-up look at what life is like for soldiers in the West Philippine Sea.

"Kung nakikita mo kung ano mang supplies ang meron sila, kung ano'ng ginagawa nila, talagang it has to be given more importance. I hope that after this Philippine Defenders documentary, people will start talking about it, the West Philippine Sea, giving more attention to our soldiers who are there," Matteo shared in 24 Oras.

Matteo will also share the stories of wildlife enforcement officers and various acts of heroism by soldiers who fight for peace and freedom.

After personally hearing the soldiers' stories, he mentioned that he wanted to share these inspiring stories with his fellow countrymen. Matteo also said that ordinary citizens are the true Philippine defenders.

In another exclusive interview, the reservist discussed the importance of telling the soldiers' stories to the public.

"I think importante 'yan para sa atin kasi to up their moral, to up their respect, to up their value because these people are very important to our nation, in the defense of our nation or community building. Maraming aspeto na importante ngayon ang airforce of the Philippines," he explained.

Through this documentary, he aims to show respect for Filipino soldiers and pay tribute to their bravery.
