Beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach revealed on Instagram that she had Lasik eye procedure to correct her vision.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach revealed on Instagram her unusual birthday celebration last month.

Pia Wurtzbach's IG post has fans wondering if she's single again

The Pinay beauty queen said that she received a wonderful gift that day by undergoing a "Lasik eye procedure."

According to www.webmd.com, LASIK stands for "laser in-situ keratomileusis," and is a "popular surgery used to correct vision for people who are nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism. It's one of several surgical techniques that work by reshaping the cornea."

Pia posted, “Last month, I had an unusual birthday “celebration” (which I spent at The Medical City) and received the best gift -- corrective treatment for my eyes so I can see clearly! Commonly known as Lasik, I had an amazing doctor who explained to me the procedure. It was painless, really, even though it had “Final Destination feels” to get my eyes zapped LOL...with the laser pointed to my eyes.”

The morena beauty couldn't believe how this procedure changed her life forever.

“Waking up the next day was the highlight. I opened my eyes feeling like a new person. I could see the small details of my room, and the first thing I did was look out my balcony! I was so amused to see the buildings clearly, the pool, the tiny people in the pool, and even the pool in the next building! Yes, I was very excited with my “new set” of eyes. It was like seeing everything for the first time, as cliche as it may sound.”

“This procedure did not only change my vision, but also my perspective: to notice and appreciate the fine details of life no matter how small they are. After all, it's the little things that count the most. Happy weekend, everyone! ”

Last month, I had an unusual birthday “celebration” (which I spent at The Medical City) and received the best gift -- corrective treatment for my eyes so I can see clearly! Commonly known as Lasik, I had an amazing doctor who explained to me the procedure. It was painless, really, even though it had “Final Destination feels” to get my eyes zapped LOL...with the laser pointed to my eyes. 😬 But Dr. Trudy Agdeppa and her staff were very reassuring, so I didn't get scared. 💙 Waking up the next day was the highlight. I opened my eyes feeling like a new person. I could see the small details of my room, and the first thing I did was look out my balcony! I was so amused to see the buildings clearly, the pool, the tiny people in the pool, and even the pool in the next building! 😂 Yes, I was very excited with my “new set” of eyes. It was like seeing everything for the first time, as cliche as it may sound. There was no down time and no difficulty with light sensitivity. I was able to face people and get on my daily routine -- work out, go to meetings, and do my errands. I'm happy I have this brand new set of eyes. It gives me more freedom to live an active lifestyle and the convenience of not having to wear glasses or put on contacts daily. This procedure did not only change my vision, but also my perspective: to notice and appreciate the fine details of life no matter how small they are. After all, it's the little things that count the most. Happy weekend, everyone! 💙
