
It is not uncommon for royals to extend help to their constituents who are in need. However, one royal had taken the concept of helping a notch higher.
Princess Sofia of Sweden is trading her crown and gown for medical scrubs to become a medical assistant during the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

In an Instagram post, Princess Sofia announced that she underwent a training course at the Sophiahemmet, a private hospital in Stockholm, and that she will be supporting and relieving the care staff in the said hospital.

She will be reportedly assigned in one of Sophiahemmet's care units, and together with other newly trained colleagues, will be performing various tasks such as care of patients and cleaning.
The princess ended her caption by saying that "to have the opportunity to help in this difficult time is extremely rewarding."
Princess Sofia of Sweden was a model before marrying Prince Carl Phillips, the eldest son of King Carl XVI Gustaf and fourth in line to the throne. She and Prince Carl have two children, Alexander and Gabriel.
Aside from being the honorary chairman of Sophiahemmet hospital, she is also a co-founder of Project Playground, a non-profit organization in South Africa that provides children with education, sports and arts programs, psychological support, and meals.
