During the same interview, Priscilla confirmed her divorce from John, revealing that she filed for divorce in Brazil in 2024. She said she decided to end their marriage after 14 years, realizing she no longer saw herself sharing a life with him.
“For me, the marriage is no longer valid, I don't see myself sharing a life with that person anymore," she said. “I fought for 14 years and I got to the point where hindi ko na kaya and I realized after a lot of things that happened, the best thing for me is to really move forward mag-isa."
John and Priscilla first sparked separation rumors in July 2024 after the beauty queen left a cryptic comment on the actor's Boracay post.
"Looking very divorced, Mr. Estrada @Lily Hallman_," the Miss Earth 2004 wrote.
Following the speculation, John released a statement saying that he and Priscilla had “mutually agreed to take a break.” He also cleared the name of Lily Hallman, saying he only met her in Boracay and that he was not in a relationship with her or any other woman. The actor likewise called out fake news peddlers who allegedly fabricated statements using his name after the trip.
However, Priscilla later refuted John's claim, saying there was never any “mutual agreement” regarding their separation.
"We were married when I left the Philippines and we remain married as of this time," she had said. "While there is indeed more to this story, it is not the appropriate time to delve into those details. Regardless of what those may be, however, it won't change the course of faith."
Priscilla and John got married in 2011 and have one daughter, Samantha Anechka, who was born in 2012.
