Rain Barquin defends his title as Centerstage's Defending Bida!
Centerstage contestant Rain Barquin was now a two-time defending Bida of the reality singing competition as he defended her position at the Ultimate Centerstage, on Sunday, March 8.
At the final round, Rain went up against Sofi Pangilinan who bested other young performers namely Wincess Yana, Dave Valenzuela, and Oday Barahi.
As for his inspiration for that winning piece, Rain shared that he picks up his strength from his parents.
He also said that before the performance, he prayed to God to help him give the song justice.
“Sana po makanta ko po nang maayos 'yung kanta," Rain said as part of his humble prayer.
Should Rain clinch his third win at next week's episode, he will be the first performer to go straight to Centerstage's grand finals.
Hosted by Alden Richards and Betong Sumaya, Centerstage airs every Sunday, 7:40 pm, at GMA Primetime.
