'StarStruck' host Raymond Gutierrez reveals the international plans ng pinakamalaking reality-based artista search ng bansa.
One of the most prolific Kapuso hosts ay balik sa familiar stomping grounds niya sa 'StarStruck' Season five. And Raymond Gutierrez promises na maraming panibagong aabangan sa mas pinalaking reality-based artista search na ito. Text and photos by Erick Mataverde. "Actually this is the biggest season so far. Naka-five seasons na 'yung StarStruck, and I think this is gonna be the biggest and the most expensive," declared Raymond Gutierrez during his pocket press conference last October 22. "Dahil, not only are we gonna go nationwide here in the Philippines but we're also going international." And he elaborated na he would be experiencing first-hand ang international auditions ng mga wanna-be star aspirants. Raymond confirmed, "Ako mismo ‘yung pupunta sa [United] States, so sasamahan ko yung StarStruck team para maghanap ng mga finalists. Lilibot kami sa East Coast – I think New Jersey and New York – and then in the West Coast we are going to Los Angeles. "So ‘yung mga Kapuso natin dyan sana po pumunta kayo sa mga auditions [namin] dyan. ‘Yung mga auditiion dates, if you just watch GMA Pinoy TV, lahat po ng mga date ia-announce po dyan. Siyempre yung mga neighboring states, from Nevada or from the East Coast, kung gusto ninyong mag-audition, sana pumunta kayo sa mga audition dates." At katulad din ng mga lucky contenders dito sa local auditions, ang mga international contenders ay mapalad din na magiging bahagi ng StarStruck. "At ang maganda dun, kung sino 'yung mapipili dun na finalists, lilipad dito for free. Sagot po namin ang kanilang plane tickets and, of course, they will be part of the show," stated Raymond. Happy din si Raymond sa panibagong addition ni Carla Abellana bilang co-host nila ni Dingdong Dantes. "Yes, actually, we'll be welcoming Carla Abellana, si Dingdong, nakasama ko ‘yan since the very beginning so I am excited to work with him again," he revealed. "Si Carla naman, I see her in SOP – a very nice girl, kaya I am excited also with her, kasi fresh na naman ang kasama namin, para iba naman." Siyempre, kaabang-abang din kung sinu-sino ang mga piniling mga showbiz industry personalities na magiging part ng talent comeptition na ito. "Aside from the three judges natin, meroon kaming council, mga experts. So, in terms of acting, in terms of style, lahat po ‘yan – singing, dancing – each department, each talent, meroon kaming mga expert," Raymond explained. "So 'yun 'yung exciting dyan, kasi puwede nilang magamit ang mga tools na natutunan nila each week, para mas lalong ma-fulfill nila 'yung dream nila." "Magiging global na po 'yung StarStruck, so 'yung mga search namin, hindi lang dito sa Pilipinas. We are going to Japan, to Singapore, to the United States and the Middle East.
