Janine Gutierrez says government support in film industry is so important

Ani Janine, “Sana oil!”

Aniya sa Twitter, “So happy for South Korea getting their first Oscar!!

“I've read about how their government has heavily supported the film industry through tax breaks and investments and it really shows that government support is so important!! In film and in sports and in music.”

'Parasite' wins Best Picture Oscar

Ani netizen @sensical_, “Agree!!! I hope that the film industry in the Philippines should also upgrade their technology and put on a great budget to come up with a quality and world-class movie!!!”

Saad ni Janine, “Amazingly, we ALREADY have so many world-class movies that have been made with limited budgets.

“So what I'm saying is, imagine the possibilities with more support and resources. Same as how we have so many talented athletes. Imagine the possibilities if they had more funding.

Noong 2017, naibalita ng Variety magazine ang pagbabago ng Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ng South Korea sa Restriction of Special Taxation Act. Ayon dito, “this allows production costs for drama series, animation, and documentaries featuring cultural and natural heritage of the country to be against corporate tax bills.”
