No oven frying pan bread

This bread recipe requires no oven.

With the proper technique, you can actually make bread on a frying pan and a stove with no oven or baking required.

This recipe for no-oven frying pan bread has been around for a while but Japanese food vlogger Cook Kafemaru provided more details on how to perfect it.

While the recipe doesn't require an oven, it does require a lot of time and elbow grease. There is a fair amount of kneading and waiting for the dough to be ready.

The recipe is also very particular about the temperature of a few ingredients.

"The best milk and water temperature for the dough: About 15℃-20℃ for spring and autumn. About 10℃ for summer, and about 25℃-30℃ for winter," Cook Kafemaru wrote in the description of her video.

Here's how to make no-oven frying pan bread.

Ingredients
160 grams of bread flour
14 grams of sugar
1 grams of salt
2 grams of dry yeast
76 grams of milk
42 grams of water

Procedure
1. Combine bread flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
2. Mix in dry yeast, milk and water.
3. Knead it for about 10 minutes.
4. Add butter and knead for about 5 minutes. Test if the dough is ready by pulling the end with your thumb and forefingers until it stretches into a thin translucent membrane. If the dough tears, it is not yet ready and must be kneaded for a few more minutes.
5. Form into a round shape and leave in warm place for the dough to rise. Wait until the dough is twice its original size then poke a hole in the middle using a finger dusted with flour. The dough is ready if the hole doesn't close.
6. Release the gas inside the dough by pressing with your hands. Divide it into four equal pieces.
7. Cover the divided dough with a wet cloth and leave for about 10 minutes
8. Deflate the dough using your hands then re-shape into a round shape, with the seams in the bottom.
9. Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a wet cloth to prevent them from drying. Leave the dough at a warm place until they double their size.
10. Place the dough in a 22 cm pan lined with parchment paper. Cook it in low heat until the bottom is golden brown.
11. Flip the bread over then cover the pan. Cook until the other side is brown.
