Lee Jae Wook and aespa's Karina confirmed to be dating

The love season may be nearing its end, but South Korea has more in store for the world as reports reveal another romance between a K-pop idol and a famous K-drama actor.

On February 27, Dispatch, an online media outlet in South Korea that covers anything K-pop and K-drama, revealed an exclusive report saying Korean actor and model Lee Jae Wook is dating Karina, the leader of SM Entertainment's girl group, aespa.

According to reports, they usually meet nearby Lee Jae Wook's neighborhood and have also been spotted going on a late-night walk.

Hours after SM Entertainment and C-JeS Studios, Karina and Lee Jae Wook's agency, commented that they are still "looking into the reports," they finally confirmed through various platforms and media outlets that the K-pop idol and K-drama actor are "getting to know each other."

C-JeS Studios also added, "Since the actor is currently working on a new piece [The Impossible Heir] and the matter is a private one, we ask for your warm support,”

The idol and actor first met during the Prada Fashion Show for their new men's collection for Fall/Winter in Milan last January 14, 2024 at the Milan Fashion Week. Dispatch said that this sparked the connection between the two and they have been getting to know each other since then.

Dispatch is known among K-pop and K-drama fans for reporting the latest news in the industry, including celebrities who are secretly dating.

They even have a traditional New Year reveal where they reveal the newest celebrity couple at the start of each year. Last 2023, Dispatch revealed that South Korean soloist IU is dating actor Lee Jong Suk.

Dispatch was also the one responsible for sharing the dating news of Crash Landing On You stars Son Ye Jin and Hyunbin who later tied the knot in March 2022.
