Sebastian Castro admits breakup with Silang Vice Mayor Aidel Belamide

YouTuber Sebastian Castro revealed he is “going through a breakup” right now, pertaining to his relationship with Silang, Cavite Vice Mayor Aidel Paul Belamide.

He began his recent YouTube video titled We Broke Up on My Birthday. He said, “I'm spending my 30th birthday going through a breakup. Don't expect this to be logical, I don't want to edit this.”

He shared the reasons that lead to their breakup. “I have the tendency to keep dating men who are closeted,” he said.

The Peruvian-Japanese American vlogger also opened up about his deal-breakers in relationships, “I have three non-negotiables: I can't date someone closeted, I can't do long distance because that's why my previous relationship didn't work out, I want to have kids one day so if you're not down, it's not gonna work.

He elaborated why coming out of the closet is important for him when starting a relationship, “Once you come out, you've already sacrificed so much in this world…to date someone who is closeted is to have all those sacrifices feel like it was for nothing. I feel like I was back in the closet for the last year.”

In the raw, Sebastian explained his side through the unedited 13-minute video, “The first reason why this relationship didn't work out was me having to sacrifice more than I felt that I was capable of to make this relationship work. It was me feeling like I was constantly hidden in this relationship by someone who promised they were ready to be out and maybe I shouldn't have entertained that promise as much as I did. I'm just really tired, not hateful.”

In the middle of the 13-minute vlog, Sebastian wished his ex-boyfriend's happiness in his future relationships. “I hope they understand that you deserve to be happy.”

“I want to open up about certain things that happened when I was around 14 or 15, a few years later, the fact that I was raped before…I think it's time I opened up about certain things that are personal on that level.”

He ended the video hoping to have more positive content in the future. “I wanna make happier content, I don't want to be a break-up vlogger.”
