Mikael Daez relates how he and Megan Young became a couple

Kapuso couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young stunned everyone with their surprise wedding earlier this year.

They actually had two wedding ceremonies--the first and official wedding ceremony was held in Caleruega Church in Batangas last January 10; and the second one was in Subic, Olongapo City last January 25, which was more of a celebration.

Not everyone knows that Mikael and Megan have been together for nine years before they tied the knot. And during their interview with Tunay na Buhay, the newlywed couple shared some other interesting stories about their relationship.

According to Mikael, they first met in September 2010 during an event, where Mikael was a model and Meghan was a host.

They had a common friend who brought them closer to each other.

Mikael revealed, “100 days later, January 6, she became my girlfriend.”

They kept their relationship private for the first few years and only decided to make it publicly known in 2017.

Mikael reminisced about the first time he talked about their relationship during the press con for his Kapuso teleserye Legally Blind.

He eagerly narrated, “Siyempre, naging friends ko na yung mga press, nag-chichikahan kami, lagi nila kong inaasar na, 'O, kailan na yung kay Megan? Kailan natin sasabihin? Kailan namin gagawan ng news article?'

“Sabi ko 'Alam mo nandito na siya sa GMA, sige, tara. Pag-usapan na natin.'

“Lahat sila grabe o. Nagsilapitan lahat sila.”

Megan, on the other hand, shared what she liked most about Mikael when they first met.

She said, “One of the things that really attracted me to Mikael was his personality.

“He was such a talkative person. I don't think I've ever met anyone as talkative as Mikael.

“So, that really drew me to him, kasi we would have endless conversations.”

And Pia asked Mikael how he knew Megan was the one, he replied, “Honestly, sobrang simple lang. I like being with her.”
