They were supposed to marry in church but chose to tie the knot in a civil ceremony on Tuesday, September 8, due to the growing concerns on COVID-19.

"A church wedding is what we originally planned but we always remind each other that God is sovereign, and that He is in control of everything.

"What's important is our love for each other. Praise God for the gift of love," Kevin said.

Despite having a simple wedding, both Kevin and Selina felt over the moon as they enjoyed their small celebration at their new house with their immediate families.

"It was the most effortless get together--my brother played the piano, my sister brought beautiful flowers, we ordered food, we drank lots of wine, we dipped our feet in the pool. No frills.

"It was the simplest celebration, but the most joyful and peaceful one," Selina shared.

She added, "I still can't get over it."

Kevin and I got married yesterday during a civil ceremony🤍 We had a small celebration in our new home, with just our immediate families present. It was the most effortless get together- my brother played the piano, my sister brought beautiful flowers, we ordered in food, we drank lots of wine, we dipped our feet in the pool. No frills. It was the simplest celebration, but the most joyful and peaceful one. I still can't get over it. 🤍 How good is our God who allows us to fall inlove, enjoy our families, and celebrate milestones- amongst many other realities we don't deserve? 🤍 I tear up in awe and gratitude. Can't wait to celebrate with all our family and friends in our postponed church wedding and reception next year. 🤍 Love and light, Maria Selina Dagdag-Alas
