Markus Paterson explains why he hid relationship with Janella Salvador

Markus Paterson explains why he chose to stay mum about his relationship with actress Janella Salvador.

In an interview with singer Kyle Echarri on YouTube, the Dead Kids actor related why he and Janella chose to keep their relationship private.

He said, "I understood it like they're a love team, which is why it took me a year and eight months to come out with this relationship, 'cause they're a love team. I want them to succeed.”

As for Janella's onscreen partner, Joshua Garcia, Markus has nothing but kind words for the actor.

"I will never call Josh selfish or gross because he was doing his job. He was promoting their show, which I think he did perfectly.

“Yes, we're in an industry where we're in the public eye. And we aim to make you guys love us, make you guys support us, right?”

"But at the end of the day, we're human," he said.

Markus and Janella have been linked since 2019, but only confirmed their relationship earlier this month.

It was also revealed that Janella is expecting their first child and is due to give birth in October.

Currently, Janella and Markus are believed to be both in the U.K. with Markus' family and Janella's mother, Jenine Desiderio.
