Empress Schuck on getting engaged: 'The ring didn't matter...'

After announcing her engagement to non-showbiz partner Vino Guingona, actress Empress Schuck remains over the moon as she looked back on all the wonderful memories from the day before.

On Instagram, the actress-turned-businesswoman shared a black and white photo of her and Vino as they celebrate a new chapter in their relationship.

“You said you had it [the engagement ring] two months ago and didn't know when to do it. On this day, you woke up and felt this is the right time,” she wrote.

“When I said yes, you hugged me right away and forgot to put the ring on which I think is sweet cause the ring didn't matter. What mattered the most was my answer.”

In the same post, Empress thanked everyone, her family, friends, and supporters, for sending their congratulatory messages.

Through this new chapter, she said she hopes to inspire all couples to “make the right choices in life by obeying the words of God.”

Vino popped the question during the 5th birthday party of their daughter, Athalia, on September 28.

Empress said that the day became more special because it wasn't just her daughter's birthday but also a “new celebration of God's intention.”

“A new chapter begins for me and I know by walking with God together, we are on the right path,” the mom of one wrote.

“The goal of our relationship is to honor Him and do things that are right in His eyes and that's what we're going to do real soon… Praise be to God.”
