Megan Young and Mikael Daez mark first wedding anniversary
The month of January holds a special meaning to showbiz couple Megan Young and Mikael Daez because of two reasons--their weddings.
If you remember, Megan and Mikael married twice last year--one ceremony was held in Caleruega in Nasugbu, Batangas, on January 10 and one in Subic, Zambales on January 25.
The former Miss World titlist had previously shared the reason why they both decided to have two weddings last year
She explained, "I bet you guys are wondering why we had two weddings. Initially, we were supposed to just have the January 25 [ceremony] but we wanted to do something a little more intimate and have a ceremony with just family.
"So last minute, we chose Caleruega and we chose to have it with family that could make it. It was really nice and intimate,"
And as they marked their first year as husband and wife, which coincides as well with their 10th anniversary as a couple--Megan and Mikael took to their respective Instagram accounts to mark the joyous occasion.
Megan wrote, “One year married to my Fofo and officially 10 years together. Sabi ko kay Fofo, it's crazy how we're growing old together. We sat in silence for just a bit, thinking about the days and years ahead.
“I then looked at him and we were both teary eyed. Cheers to more years together!! Looking forward to our future - Lola Bonez and Lolo Fofo #bonezfofo #lab”
For his part, Mikael opted for a short but sweet caption and uploaded a black and white photo with his beautiful wife.
Several celebrities commented on their anniversary posts and showered them with congratulatory messages including Chika Minute anchor Iya Villania and Kapuso primetime actress Gabbi Garcia.
Back in June, Mikael looked back at his wedding with his dearest Boneezy, which showed how happy they were during their wedding ceremony.
Mikael told his followers on Instagram, “Sabi niya, 'mukhang kilig na kilig tayo dito oh!' Ako naman, I thought, 'parang 'di tayo nakikinig sa homily! haha!' But either way, I like the photo too! It encapsulates our vibe when we're spending an afternoon over multiple cups of coffee.
“It also made me think that if we were seatmates in college, we'd be sitting at the back while being pasaway during classes 🤦🏻♂ this makes me think... Kung seatmate mo si crush, will you make her kulit or keep quiet and try to show you're a good student??
