Are 'The Clash' alum Nef Medina and actress Claire Ruiz dating?

Love is in the air for The Clash graduate Nef Medina as he recently announced his relationship with Kapamilya actress Claire Ruiz.

The Cavite singer revealed the real score between them through their sweet photos posted on his social media accounts.

It's safe to say that Claire's mom, Raine Hartell, is in full support of her daughter's relationship with Nef as she posted their photos having brunch together.

Nef is also fond of sending food to Claire's mother.

While this is the first time Nef opened up about his relationship with Claire, they have presumably met each other in the social app, Kumu, where they have performed a couple of times together.

Aside from love life, the Fliipino-centric app opened a lot of opportunities to Nef as he gained more fans when he joined the community platform.

He said in his April 16 Facebook post, "I would say that in almost 2 and a half years in kumu and almost 4 years of streaming ngayon lng ako naka tanggap ng support na ganito and ng kumu fam na laging sumasama sa mga streams ko.

"In all those years lagi ko sinasabi na Di ako pang streaming kc kanta lang talaga alam ko, gave up a lot of times, streamed not because I want to but because I need to.

"Who would have thought na amidst the pandemic our Lord Jesus would give me a different path, a path I never expected, the one that I was not hoping for.

"He really works in mysterious ways and sometimes you just have to open your eyes kung Ano nasa harap mo. Sometimes we crave for our own plans to happen and we tend to forget God's plans for us. "

Nef may not have won in The Clash, but the husky-voiced singer has found his luck in Kumu when he joined a singing competition in the app titled Raise Your Voice where he was declared winner for its third season.

"I was never the Grand Champion sa lahat ng salihan ko kaso Di naman tlga pang ganon ung skills ko in singing, my voice is not too high I don't have crazy vocal runs etc. Sabi ko nuon never na ko mg Champion and I mean it's FINE Kasi Di naman mg define un ng pagiging singer ko, Pero nung nag announce kgbe na ako ung champion Di ko alam I rereact ko haha kasi Di din ako makapaniwala," Nef said in a separate post.

Nef joined the second season of The Clash, aired in 2019, where he was one of the top five finalists. In the said season, Jeremiah Tiangco is the grand champion.

After The Clash, Nef had guest appearances in All Out Sundays, Centerstage, and Mars Pa More.

In 2020, he was chosen to sing the official soundtrack of High-Rise Lovers, "Umuuwi Sa 'Yo," with Jeremiah.
