Valeen Montenegro spills the tea about marrying her non-showbiz boyfriend Riel Manuel
Bubble Gang comedienne Valeen Montenegro openly talked about her relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend Riel Santos Manuel in her exclusive chat in Nelson Canlas' podcast.
Valeen, together with her “Balitang Ina” co-host Chariz Solomon graced Updated with Nelson Canlas, wherein they shared about their personal life and the upcoming anniversary special of Bubble Gang.
According to Val, her boyfriend Riel is in the advertising industry.
She told Nelson,“Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, ang aking boyfriend ay isang DOP, Director of Photography sa advertising world. Meron kaming baby dog. [laughs] Baby dog.”
On marrying her long-time boyfriend, Valeen stated, “So parang nandoon na, pa-climb na kayo ng stairs na alam n'yo kung saan din naman papunta. So I'm waiting, charot. Waiting.”
Chariz then teased her co-star saying, “Nagta-tag nga ako sa kanya nung mga proposals. 'Yung doon sa mga Spartan, ganyan. 'Yung mga ano, sa dulo nakaluhod na yung jowa niya. Na-excite ako.”

Bubble Gang 27th anniversary special
Chariz and Valeen also looked back to two years ago when Bubble Gang was about to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic derailed any plans for the show marking this huge milestone.
Valeen said, “Siyempre kasi nandun tayo for the safety of the everyone. I mean, in our own little way nakapag-celebrate kami, pero ngayon na it's slowly going back to normal, siyempre nakakalabas na kami.
“Ito nga, nakapag-Aqua Planet kami, nakapag-celebrate kami nang sabay-sabay, altogether, and we were able to prepare something big for our viewers, sa aming mga Kababol, so parang syempre ano lang yun, it's a mini celebration in itself na puwede na tayong bumalik sa normal,” she continued, referring to their episode for the 27th anniversary.
Chariz added, “Kumbaga maiparamdam namin sa mga viewers and supporters ng show na ito na we're getting there. And nandito pa rin kami.”
What are the exciting things happening in the anniversary presentation of the award-winning Kapuso gag show?
Chariz shared, “As usual ganyan, every year, we try to top off the year before na ang hirap to do 'pag 27 years ka na. So we do our best pero ito nga, so dahil 27th year, ito yung pinaka. Ito yung present, so this is the biggest yet.
“'Yung ibang ginawa namin this year was first time namin na lumabas ng studio for anniversary.
“Napakagandang lugar and napakainit, kaya sobrang nag-enjoy kami. Kasi feel na feel namin summer ng Ber months. So, ang saya-saya.
“Tapos siyempre may mga in-invite kami to join us since ito 'yung era ng social media talaga. So, nakipag-collab kami with artists of the internet, yung mga internet superstars natin.”
