Remember Mike Enriquez's message to Rhea Santos on her last day in 'Unang Hirit' four years ago?
The day began for Rhea Santos in a somber mood after she learned about the death of her former colleague, GMA Integrated News pillar Mike Enriquez, on August 29 at the age of 71.
Rhea, who moved to Canada in 2019 with her family, uploaded a portion of Mike's message to her in her last episode on Unang Hirit.
CELEBS MOURN THE DEATH OF MIKE ENRIQUEZ:
On Instagram, she shared that her family is heartbroken that they will no longer see the Kapuso news icon.
“Woke up to the news today that you're gone. My boys and I are heartbroken. You will forever be our ninong Mike, Papa Mike, sir Mike, Booma, La Salle's pillar.”
The former Unang Hirit host continued, “To a respected man, dedicated and loving husband, a father to many, our ninong, my boys' inspiration (Animo!), thank you for being part of our lives. You will be missed. Pakisabi na lang po yung hiling ko dyan. We love you!”
Last June 15, Rhea returned to Canada after spending almost two months in the Philippines for a vacation.
