The international music artist and businesswoman discussed her second pregnancy, new album updates, and why she performed at this year's Super Bowl despite declining a previous offer.

Rihanna's interview with British Vogue sheds light on her being a mom, her current pregnancy, and her recent Super Bowl Halftime show.

Rihanna explained why she agreed to perform this year after refusing to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime show in support of activist and ex-quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“There's still a lot of mending to be done in my eyes,” Rihana said to the British Vogue, “But it's powerful to break those doors, and have representation at such a high, high level and a consistent level.”

The Barbadian singer also commended the Super Bowl Halftime show in 2022 which was headlined by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
“Two Super Bowls back-to-back,“ she said, describing the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime show, "you know, representing the urban community, globally. It is powerful. It sends a really strong message.”

She also talked about the pressure in becoming a mom to her baby with A$AP Rocky.

“Raising a young Black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life," Rihanna said in her interview. "You're like, 'What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they're gonna be living on?' “All of those things really start to hit differently.

Updates on a possible new album were also explored in her British Vogue interview.

“I want it to be this year,” Rihanna said. “Like, honestly, it'd be ridiculous if it's not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.”

Rihanna and partner A$AP Rocky, along with their son, made an iconic family photo for the cover of British Vogue's March issue.
