Rob Sy denies 'negative narrative' involving his son amid bullying case.

Filipino actor Robert Vincent Sy, better known as Rob Sy has once again spoken out in defense of his son following discussions surrounding the bullying complaint involving his family.

In a Facebook post, Rob denied allegations that his son repeatedly bullied a child and responded to claims made amid his family's legal dispute with Quezon City Councilor Alfred Vargas and his wife, Yasmine.

Rob first pointed to the Office of the City Prosecutor of Manila's denial of the complainants' motion for reconsideration after the complaint against his family had previously been dismissed.

Rob also questioned the alleged incident that was said to have occurred with adults present.

The actor also urged public officials not to use their position or influence to shape public perception of the case.

Rob concluded his statement by thanking his legal team and those who have continued to support his family.

On April 13, 2026, Alfred and his wife, Yasmine, filed a criminal complaint against the parents of a minor who allegedly bullied their son during swimming training sessions.

The complaint alleges a pattern of behavior in which the respondents' minor child repeatedly and allegedly submerged their son in the pool. According to the filing, these incidents occurred multiple times despite efforts to raise the issue and request that the child's parents intervene.

Last June, Rob Sy said he received a resolution from the Office of the City Prosecutor of Manila stating that the complaint had been dismissed.
