“I was well aware of the dangers also, because of the pandemic and how limited… how to a certain extent can we shoot the whole show. But everyone did follow the protocols. We were just in one place, no one was overly anxious. We were safe eh, we were safe. And I had the full trust of the production and of course GMA 7 kasi alam naman nila kung ano gagawin. Prior to going in, I actually didn't have any reservations because being a nurse and being able to set up my own testing company, alam ko po 'yung mga protocol when it comes to these things; where to go, what to do, what to do especially when a lot of people are in a confined space.
“So I just took it into play and then learned to really take care of myself and also my co-actors as well. So if may nakalimot, nakita nilang naka-face shield ako at face mask, it will follow. So it was good to see na everyone is taking precautions. Everyone had their own utensils. So it was nice to see as I entered the production.”
“As an actor, I enjoy doing lock-in tapings. Well, may konting experience na rin ako from doing movies sa location. Parang lock-in taping na rin po eh. Kasi as an actor, you really get to hold on to your character. It will be easier to switch to your character because you won't be doing anything extra. On your rest days, you get to discuss with your co-actors anything you want to do in the next scene. And 'yung continuity, it's easier. And it's easier to really connect with everyone, on and off set.
“With the cons, I guess it's just really the time that you have to spend away from your family. So when I'm not doing a scene, I'm on my phone, trying to get suppliers to finish certain parts of the house. 'Yun siguro 'yung hirap doon, na wala ako physically to do whatever responsibility I have to do, and it's always a different scenario for every actor. Everyone has their different views on lock-in taping but for me, I'm okay with it as long as you do everything correctly and I see that everyone's safe.”
“During my taping sa Owe My Love, I didn't have any reservations. It was easy to work. We had our safety officers reminding me kunwari after a scene. They do remind you na, 'Sir, suot na kayo ng mask.' Masarap makita na ano, lahat nagtutulungan. So lock-in tapings are more of an advantage for me.”
