Kapuso dancer-actress and Mga Lihim ni Urduja star Rochelle Pangilinan rose to stardom when she started as a member of the all-female singing and dancing group, The SexBomb Girls, in the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga. She admitted, however, that she regrets leaving the show when they had to.
In an interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast, Rochelle revealed the reason why they were removed from the noontime show in 2011. According to her, Eat Bulaga then-producer Malou Choa Fagar, and their manager, Joy Cancio, were in a disagreement.
Rochelle said that while she did not know what's the disagreement all about, she mentioned it was not her place to intervene, but she was asked by their Daisy Siete director, Pat Perez, if they would show up in the noontime show.
So nag-meeting kami na alam ko somewhere in Timog,” she said.
The actress and dancer, however, stood her ground and said that they would follow the decision of the majority of the group, which was to attend. However, she instructed the other members to turn off their phones.
But one of the members was not able to turn off her phone and received a call from their Ate Joy.
So ayon ending news kami.”
Rochelle said that she regretted her decision back then. “Dapat naging professional pa rin kami. Siguro hindi nagkaroon, hindi sumama loob sa amin ng side ng Eat Bulaga, 'yung ganun ang feeling kasi for sure sumama ang loob nila sa amin after that incident.”
Despite not being able to dance for the noontime show for a long time, Rochelle was finally given a chance to be back on the Eat Bulaga stage which she described as “napakasarap sa pakiramdam.”
