Ruru Madrid

Ruru Madrid made sure to thank his fans for supporting 'Lolong.'

Lolong star Ruru Madrid recently held a fan's day as a way to thank his fans and supporters for all the support he received ever since he started his showbiz career.

In an interview with Aubrey Carampell on "Chika Minute," Ruru expressed how he felt great about how he is able to entertain and inspire audiences with the works he has done.

“Ang sarap sa pakiramdam kasi syempre, ako naman bilang isang aktor, yun naman yung goal ko, my goal is to entertain people at the same time give inspiration to them lalo na sa mga kabataan,” he said.

He made sure to take pictures with his fans, also known as Rurunatics, played games with them, and enjoyed the day together with them. He said that he considers his fans and supporters not simply as fans, but as family.

“Dahil sila yung parang nagsisilbing gasulina ko para mas lalo ko pang pagbutihan yung ginagawa ko,” he added.

Lolong had its season finale last September 30 with a breathtaking ending that had many fans wanting more. It showed Lolong and Armando, played by award-winning veteran actor Christopher de Leon, going into an all-out brawl as Armando changed into a monster after he transferred blood from the Punong Buwaya, Dakila.

Ruru thanked everyone who watched and supported the series for joining him in his journey which he says is the “most beautiful experience” he had.

While the actor did say that it is not yet goodbye for the series, Ruru, however, admitted that he will be working on a different project in the meantime, before continuing the story of Lolong.

“It's a new show na kakaiba,” he said, adding how he admires GMA for not being afraid to put out new and innovative TV series. The actor, however, did not reveal any details yet about the new series.
