Now that SB19 has wrapped up their biggest concert yet, the Wakas at Simula Trilogy Concert Finale, the group can now focus on their upcoming stint at Lollapalooza, one of the biggest music festivals in the world.
In a recent interview with GMA Network and other media outlets, the Kings of P-pop shared that they are preparing extensively for the event.
According to Pablo, “We're trying to pick out our best songs that we could perform on the stage because hindi naman siya basta-basta. So, kailangan naming maging strategic kami kung paano namin maipapakita kung sino kami as performers.”
He added, “Lollapalooza is siguro, by far the biggest stage that we'll be performing in. So, syempre gagalingan namin. Yun nga po sinabi namin, gigil kami.”

SB19 is set to make history as the first Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza.
In relation to this, Stell said the group wants to proudly showcase the excellence of Filipino talent as they step onto the music festival stage.
He said, “Actually, medyo challenging nga po siya sa amin. Kasi, 'pag binabalikan ko po yung mga past performances namin, parang every time, we try to elevate, and parang mas angatan pa yung ginagawa namin from before.
“So, 'pag inisip mo siya ngayon, may nagawa na kami nung kickoff and then [may ginawa] na naman kaming bago for Wakas at Simula. So, ano pa yung pwede naming gawin for Lollapalooza?
“I mean, yes, marami kami pwedeng gawin, pero ano talaga yung tama o yung angkop dun na ipakita sa stage na yun, na kailangan talaga is gumawa kami ng mark na makikilala nila. Yung tipong tayo pa lang namin, 'Ah, kakaiba sila.'”
Stell emphasized, “Dapat ganun yung dating namin. Tipong masasabi nila na, 'Grabe, iba talaga yung mga Pinoy.' Gusto namin mag-leave ng ganung mark sa audience since first time nila kaming makikita.”
In the end, he said on behalf of the group, “Lollapalooza, ready kami for you. Parang sobrang gigil na gigil po kami for that.”
Lollapalooza is scheduled to take place from July 30 to August 2 at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois.
The four-day festival will be headlined by Charli XCX, Olivia Dean, Tate McRae, Jennie, Lorde, The Smashing Pumpkins, John Summit, and The xx, among others.
