Action star-turned-senator Robin Padilla is already back at work, after he underwent a heart procedure last weekend at the Asian Hospital, which was shared by his wife TV host Mariel Padilla on Instagram.

Robin uploaded some photos on his Facebook account yesterday, October 3, which showed that he is already focused on doing his job as a legislator.

In a separate Facebook video, Robin explained that after returning from Spain, he decided to subject himself to a series of tests and later on he found out that he needed an angiogram.

Angiogram is a diagnostic procedure that uses X-ray images to look for blockages in your blood vessels (arteries or veins). It shows how blood circulates in blood vessels at specific locations in your body.

Robin said, “In-advice ako sa Spain na magpa-check up. So, pagdating ko nagpa-confine ako agad. Chineck ako, ultrasound, lahat. Endoscopy, colonoscopy, lahat na ginawa na nila doon. Wala silang kahit anong nakita. Pulmonary naman, walang problema.

“2D echo ako ngayon, nung 2D echo sabi nila parang, may nakikita kami ugat na lumaki. Dinala ako sa cardio, 'yung cardio pinag-stress test ako may nakita sila, ischemia. Kailangan ka namin i-angiogram, sabi ko, 'angiogram muna tayo. Wala naman masama doon', malaman natin kung may bara.”

“Sabi niya, very healthy heart. Ang kailangan natin bantayan 'yung high blood mo.”
