SEVENTEEN members Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino are preparing to fulfill their mandatory military service in the coming months.
PLEDIS Entertainment has confirmed the enlistment schedules of three more SEVENTEEN members, giving fans a clearer timeline for when the idols will temporarily step away from group activities.
Mingyu will begin his military service on Sept. 10, while Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enlist on Oct. 26. The two will serve as members of the Army's military band.
In a statement shared by Soompi, PLEDIS said, “Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enlist as members of the military band in the Army on October 26,” adding that both artists will take part in all official activities leading up to their enlistment.
The agency likewise confirmed that Mingyu will start his service on Sept. 10 and will remain involved in SEVENTEEN's activities before his departure.
PLEDIS also appealed to fans not to visit the enlistment sites. It explained that no official event will be held for Mingyu when he begins his service or when he later reports to the training center. For Seungkwan and Dino, the agency noted that other enlistees and their families will also be present, prompting the request for fans to refrain from visiting.
Once the three members begin their service, they will be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN's activities. However, PLEDIS said fans will still be able to connect with them through various content prepared in advance.
The agency also encouraged CARATs to send their messages of farewell and support through WeVerse, assuring fans that it will continue to support Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino throughout their military service and until their return.
The announcement follows PLEDIS' previous confirmation that fellow SEVENTEEN members Vernon and DK will also enlist. Vernon is scheduled to begin his service in August, while DK is set to enlist in September.
