Sharon Cuneta expresses both her surprise and appreciation as her daughter, Frankie Pangilinan turns a year older today, December 16.
Frankie is Sharon's firstborn with Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan. Even in her teenage years, she has been very expressive and forward not just with her music and the arts but as well as in her opinions concerning public affairs.
Without taking advantage of her parents' celebrity status, Frankie is paving a way for herself. She has made headlines for her feisty statements against corruption and human rights violation, and for being the youth's voice in espousing women's rights and gender equality among her many advocacies.
She has indeed made an impact at such a young age. And while this makes her parents proud, she also remains to be the darling daughter and sister in their family.
Sharon took to Instagram to celebrate Frankie, saying, “Happy 20th (Whaaaa..?!!!!) Birthday, Kakie! I CANNOT... Oh.Em.Gee. TWENTY already?!!! I love you so much my Baba. I thank God for your love and constant presence in my life without even any horror stories when you were in your teens. Thank you for being so good to me. You are one of God's most precious gifts whom I will be eternally grateful for. Sana you never change, except for the better.
“Thank you my Kakie - for being such a good, loving and understanding Ate to Yellie and Gugie, for being a good example to them - and most of all for loving me the way you do, and making me feel like I am the best mother in the world in spite of my imperfections. May God give you everything your heart desires, my #2 baby. You deserve nothing less. I soooo love you.”
Frankie's younger sister Miel also penned a heartfelt dedication for her via her Instagram Story.
Miel wrote, “Happy birthday to one of my bestest friends and biggest inspirations. I can't believe you're 20 na and neither can you so I won't say anything nalang but I love you so much. I'm so proud of you and how far you've come and how far I see you going in the future!! You're so hardworking and an incredible artist and I know that and I said it so don't say you're not. You're truly an inspiration.
“2020 was a hell of a year for everyone, but one think it did that I'm eternally grateful for is that it made us closer. I don't know where I would be at this point in this year if you weren't here with me. Thank you for inspiring me to do what I love and to use my voice. Thank you for being one of my biggest sources of happiness. I love you and I will continue to love and support you 'til the sun no longer shines. I couldn't have asked for a better sister or best friend. I love you so much.”
Frankie truly deserves all the appreciation, especially on her birthday!
