On July 8, Sharon and her husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, appeared in court to officially withdraw the complaints they filed against Cristy.
According to showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz, the decision followed the reporter's public apology aired on her YouTube channel.
"Hindi naman sa korte lang lagi ang lugar para ipaglaban ang karapatan at katotohanan," Ogie stated. "Pwede namang mag-usap nang puso-sa-puso. Hanggang sa pairalin ang pagpapatawad. Lalo na kung meron namang nabuong relationship noong araw pa. Thank you, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and Mareng Mega."
A photo showing Sharon, Kiko, and Cristy smiling together circulated online, signaling that all is well between them.
In October 2024, Cristy was initially charged with five counts of cyber libel related to what the couple called "baseless" and "malicious" remarks posted on her YouTube channel. The Makati prosecutor's office recommended bail of PhP48,000 for each count, totaling PhP240,000.
Following the indictment, Cristy reassured her viewers that the legal process was still in its early stages and she would face the situation head-on.
