Mega Star Sharon Cuneta is currently filming the movie A Mother and Son's Story with Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards. The actress, however,is taking a break for a while because, according to her doctors, she needs to rest due to health reasons.
In an Instagram post on Monday, July 17, the actress detailed how her throat felt weird and that she did not have a voice during a TV guest apperance, which prompted her to go to her doctor.
“Went to my doctor in St. Luke's BGC yesterday. She inserted a camera into my nose and mouth. Sobrang clogged daw ang ilong ko and my throat is so swollen and papunta nang infection kaya ang dami kong gamot ngayon,” the actress wrote in her post.
She added that according to her doctor, she became used to having a clogged nose and her throat not feeling well which is why she didn't realize that there's already something wrong.
“Sinabi ng doc ko kailangan ko daw i-rest ang voice ko ng one week… Bukod daw sa fatigue, stress-induced daw,” she further explained.
The Mega Star also revealed that she's suffering from acid reflux.
Because of this, Sharon had to take a break from shooting their film. In her post, she expressed how she misses the set and her co-workers including their director Nuel Naval and her co-stars.
Family, friends, and fans, including her co-star Jackie Lou, sent their well wishes to Sharon and expressed hope that she get well soon.
Jackie Lou Blanco, her co-star in the movie, posted a comment on her post, “Mama, your health is most important. I love you.”
A Mother and Son's Story is one of the four films included in the Metro Manila Film Festival this year. These also include the return of Kapuso Royalties Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera in cinema with their film Rewind.
The MMFF have yet to choose four more films to join the roster for this year's lineup.
