Shawols, SHINee's leader Onew has officially made his comeback with the release of his first full-length album Circle and its title track's artsy and staggering music video.

From the name itself, “O (Circle)” is an R&B song that expounds on the idea that life is a cycle. The lyrics of the track, written by lyricist Kim Eana, send off a message that the changing seasons will come with different emotions and expectations but at the end of each day, we're all living beings experiencing the circle of life.

The accompanying music video pays homage to two iconic Hollywood films, Everything Everywhere All at Once (EEAO) and The Truman Show. The first 15 seconds have a semblance with the shots seen in EEAO where Evelyn Wang is experiencing the entire multiverse all at once. As we get to the middle of the MV, we see Onew sitting on a small hill on set with a cloudy backdrop. The ladder leading up to a white door gave away the hint that this part was inspired by the last scene in the film The Truman Show.

Apart from the film references, the warm and soft music video also allowed Shawols to get a glimpse of how talented of an artist Onew is. The way he exhibited different emotions for each shot and season was purely chef's kiss. It made all of us feel for him more and recognize how beautiful his brain works.

The entire transcendent Circle experience of course wouldn't be complete without the rest of the songs in the album which he also released. Songs such as “Cough,” “Rain On Me,” “Caramel,” “Anywhere,” “Paradise,” “Expectations,” “No Parachute,” “Walk With You,” and “Always” are part of the newly released album.
