Beyond the crown and the catwalk, this UP Diliman alumna and international model is finding her true life purpose through music and missions of hope.

In the glittering world of pageantry and high fashion, it's easy to get lost in the aesthetics. But for Charina Carmen, the spotlight isn't just a place to stand—it's a platform to speak. Known as the "Singing Advocacy Queen of the Philippines," the Puerto Princesa native is proving that a woman can truly have it all: brains, beauty, and a big heart.

Long before she was walking international runways, Charina was dominating the classroom. A consistent high-achiever, she finished as Valedictorian in both elementary and high school before heading to the prestigious University of the Philippines Diliman for her business degree. She later earned her Master's at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), cementing her status as a powerhouse entrepreneur.

Fans might recognize her from her days as a TV commercial model for brands like Ponds and Hansel Sandwich, where she shared the screen with her son. But while her face was familiar to millions, her voice was waiting for its moment.

Recently, Charina took the Philippine flag to the global stage in a way few have. At the House of iKons Fashion Week during London Runway Fashion Week, she stood out as the only model from the Philippines to walk the catwalk for Rochie Couture Finland.

"Representing my roots on an international stage is an honor, but my goal has always been to show that Filipinas are more than just models—we are women of purpose," Charina shares.

Despite her success in fashion, Charina describes music as her "first love." What started as singing at town fiestas at age five has evolved into a professional recording career. Under the H Music label, her debut single "Carry On"—penned during the height of the pandemic—has become a digital anthem for resilience.

Her discography is growing rapidly on Spotify and Apple Music, featuring soulful tracks like: "Carry On" - a call to never give up; "Hug Me" - a tender exploration of connection; and "Pasko Na" - a festive collaboration with composer Marie Jo Andap.

What truly sets Charina apart is her devotion to the Circle of Hope and Care, a charity organization she founded in her hometown. A portion of her earnings from her business ventures and music goes directly toward humanitarian services and women's empowerment.

Between being a motivational speaker, a painter, and a former gymnast, Charina's most cherished roles remain being a devoted wife and mother. For her, every success is an offering.

"By passionately offering to God all the blessings I receive, I believe they get converted into prayers," she says.

Fans should keep an eye out for Charina's upcoming music video series and her dream project: a massive fundraising concert. As she continues to bridge the gap between entertainment and advocacy, Charina Carmen isn't just a name to watch—she's a voice to listen to.
