As their successful primetime series Luv Is: Caught in His Arms nears its end, Sparkle stars Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay start preparing for their next big project, the of GMA Public Affairs titled In My Dreams.

In their interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast, Sofia expressed how happy and excited she and Allen were for their newest project.

“Super excited po kami kasi alam naman po nating lahat na yong digital and social media is ang laki na rin po ng audience niya and with the help of social media, mas lalaki po talaga yung audience range ng mga artista,” she said.

According to the actress, the story itself is good and has a unique concept, which made her and Allen speechless while reading the script.

She further described the series, “Sobrang unique na naisip ko po merong nakaisip ng ganung kaganda and ka-unique na kuwento. Kasi, about lucid dreaming pero mas pinalalim niya po yong meaning ng lucid dreaming and kahit po ako, hindi aware na meron palang ganun.”

The story revolves around a business student named Sari, who never had a boyfriend. To ease the loneliness she's feeling from the real world, she created a world of her own by lucid dreaming where she meets Jecoy.

Lucid dreaming, meanwhile, is a type of dream where the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming while dreaming and gains some amount of control over it. This includes the characters, environment, and even the narrative of the dream

Allen, meanwhile, shared his own experience with lucid dreaming about a zombie apocalypse when he was about 14 years old.

“Meron kasi akong panaginip nun parang mga zombie nagkakaroon na daw sa barangay namin ng maraming mga zombies. So ako na-trap ako sa isang kubo, tapos nacocontrol ko yung gagawin ko,” he said.

He added, “Kunwari, iniisip ko makakakuha ako ng itak, so pag tingin ko doon sa kuwarto may itak. 'Tapos, ang nangyari bigla ako nagising kasi parang ginising ako ni Mama nananaginip ako.”

Allen also said that a few months passed when he dreamt about a “continuation” of the previous dream, saying that he was back in the house, already holding the weapon he wanted to have from the first one.
