Musician and husband of singer Katrina Velarde, Mike Shapiro was 57.
Everyone was shocked after singer and social media star Katrina Velarde announced on Tuesday, November 16, that her husband, Mike Shapiro has died.
In a statement released to Inquirer Entertainment, the 'Suklay Diva' shared some details about what happened to her husband.
Katrina said, “It is with deep regret that I wish to announce the passing of my husband, musician and educator Mike Shapiro last November 14 in Quezon City, at the age of 57.”
“Prayers for the repose of his soul are most appreciated and I would like to request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”

Back in May, Katrina tied the knot with Mike in a ceremony held in Tagaytay.
The late Shapiro is a drummer and music producer who recorded and worked with some of the biggest music icons like Shawn Mendes and will.i.am.
