There's no stopping Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana, otherwise known as TomCar. They first made us fall in love with them in the phenomenal series My Husband's Lover as husband and wife, Vincent and Lally. Then we fell even deeper with their follow-up movie So It's You.

If you think our love affair with this lovable couple ended there, think again. TomCar fever is definitely back, thanks to their latest teleserye, My Destiny.

 

In an interview with GMANetwork.com on their first taping day, both Tom and Carla expressed their excitement to be working together again.

 

"Siyempre, ang saya. It's a blessing for me because I have learned so much from Carla. I've learned and I've picked up so much from her, and I just really enjoy working with her. Our working relationship is just so easy. I find it really, really enjoyable," says Tom.

 

As for Carla, she is very grateful for the friendship that she shares with her leading man, something that makes their tandem effective. "Ako very excited, very grateful kasi maganda 'yung friendship na nasimulan namin sa My Husband's Lover. Hindi lang between Tom and I, but among the entire cast, pati 'yung crew and the production team. Maganda na ipagpapatuloy namin 'yung friendship na 'yun, mas nakikilala namin ang isa't isa."

 

Kuwento pa ng aktres, nakatulong din sa kanilang love team ang pagiging close nila sa isa't isa. "Ang sarap ng feeling na may katrabaho kang sanay ka na, close ka na sa taong 'yun, you're very comfortable with him already. Very thankful kami kasi, in a way, at least alam namin na nagagawa namin ang trabaho namin ng tama kasi kahit papaano natutuwa naman ang mga tao sa amin, sa partnership namin."

 

Pero bakit nga ba kinikilig ang mga tao sa kanila at inaabangan ang kanilang pagbabalik-tambalan?

 

Carla says it's as simple as being able to make people happy. "They make us feel kung ano 'yung saya na naibibigay namin sa kanila, binabalik nila sa amin. I am not saying we make the entire world happy, but there are people na umaasa, there are people na entertained. We are basically here to entertain people."

 

May dapat nga bang asahan ang kanilang fans?

 

"We're not at that stage now, pero ako, I'll be very honest. Of course, it will be possible. Anything's possible naman eh," maikling sagot ni Tom.
