The Manila Times Chairman Emeritus Dante Arevalo Ang passes away
The Manila Times announced on Tuesday evening that journalist, Chairman emeritus, and owner Dante Arevalo Ang has passed away.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of The Manila Times Chairman Emeritus DANTE AREVALO ANG, DBA — a father, journalist, publisher and public servant whose life was defined by purpose, vision and integrity," the newspaper said in a statement.
"Your Times family honors the life you lived, the work you built, and the legacy you leave behind. Your inspiration and devotion will remain with us always," it added.
His son, Commission on Filipinos Overseas chairperson Dante "Klink" Ang II, posted a photo on his social media page.
The Manila Times also announced the schedule of services as follows:
The wake begins on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, 10 a.m. onwards at Manila Memorial Park-Sucat, Dr. Santos Avenue, Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City.
The funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Saint Joseph, Bamboo Organ Church, 1742 Quirino Avenue, Las Piñas City. — BAP, GMA News
