On Monday, February 4, TJ Monterde and Korean singer 10CM marked another milestone in their careers and friendship after they shared the stage for the OPM singer's “sarili nating mundo” concert at the Big Dome.
During one of the segments of his concerts, TJ Monterde paid homage to 10CM for being one of his idols and said he wanted to give back to 10CM's efforts in performing his song “Palagi” at his “Closer To You” concert in August 2024.
But when he was about to sing Lovely Runner's OST “Spring Snow,” 10CM appeared on stage and joined TJ in performing the trending song.
They also surprised Day 3 attendees with a performance of their newest collaboration song “Silver,” “[...] Day 3 also has an exclusive. You will be the first to hear the song; kayo ang unang-unang makakarinig.”
According to TJ, “This song talks about a love of best friend that surpasses time. 'Yung pagmamahal na kahit wala na siya, nakikita mo pa rin at ramdam mo pa rin ang pagmamahal niya.”
“Silver” is written by TJ Monterde with additional Korean lyrics from 10CM.
“When I wrote the lyrics for this song, my part, I thought about your story, about your friend, and I, myself, thought about my long-distance friendship like you and me. We have a long-distance friendship,” said 10CM.
He added, “I miss TJ Monterde every day, but I can't see him because we are so, so far away from each other. Manila and Seoul. I guess this always reminds me of my friend, TJ Monterde.”
“That's why I loved working on this song,” 10CM told the fans.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, 10CM said he did not experience any difficulties in connecting with TJ's music despite the language barrier.
Instead, he focused on the feeling and connection of their craft.
10CM told GMANetwork.com, “I thought about the outcome of our voices together because we're from different countries. However, upon recording, I did not feel any differences despite us being from the Philippines and South Korea.”
“So I really thought the song would have a good outcome,” he added.
The Korean singer also talked about the challenges of having only virtual communication with TJ but said this project still brought them closer.
“Because we cannot see each other in person, we work together online, which is my first time with TJ Monterde,” said 10CM. “Upon hearing the song, that was the first time I learned about TJ's story and I was immediately amazed by all his songs and the composition itself. I really liked it all.
10CM added, “That's why I think TJ and I grew closer and I really want to work with him more in the future.”
TJ Monterde and 10CM's collaboration song “Silver” is set to be released in Korea through 10CM's management followed by a worldwide release.
