Atty. Annette-Gozon Valdes reminds the Sparkle artists: “The artists have to understand that this business is hard work talaga.”
We can expect bigger things with the current batch of Sparkle GMA Artist Center talents, who are not only good looking but also incredibly talented.
These artists showcased their skills in a Sparkle Socials event, which was attended by executives, directors, and writers from the GMA Entertainment Group.
Also spotted during the event were GMA Network Inc. Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Groups Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Entertainment Group VP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, and First Vice President of Program Management Department Joey Abacan.
Joining them were Sparkle Vice President Joy Marcelo and Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara.
After witnessing their performances, Atty. Annette was very pleased with these current crops of talents managed by Sparkle.
She said on “Chika Minute,” “They are very, very talented, hindi lang sila guwapo at magaganda. Kaya nakaka-proud talaga na nandito sila sa Sparkle.”
The Kapuso executive also reminded them that being in the entertainment industry entails a lot of hard work.
She stated, “The artists have to understand that this business is hard work talaga, hindi lang siya puro glamour. Hindi siya puro fun it's [a lot of hard work].”
Meanwhile, Miss Joy Marcelo even described the current batch of Sparkle artists who performed during the Sparkle Socials event as the best one yet.
“Alam ko 100 percent 'yung binigay nila sa lahat ng activities or sa lahat ng pinapagawa sa kanila. That is why we are very proud of them. This is what I think one of the best batches that we ever had.
“So, ready na sila. Ready na sila to take on new roles,” she said.

Sparkle beauty Haley Dizon, who was one of those who took part in the Sparkle Socials event shared some of her training she undertook with the talent management arm of GMA-7 like firing and target training.
Haley bagged the 3rd runner-up title during the Miss Millennial 2017 competition on Eat Bulaga.
“Nakuha ko po kung paano talaga na mag-focus. So, for you to shoot 'yung target mo and parang na-apply ko siya sa life ko. Kapag nakatingin ka lang talaga sa target mo, mapupuntahan at mapupuntahan mo siya.”
Content creator Shuvee Etrata, who is part of the primetime series Hearts on Ice star, thanked Sparkle for unleashing her other talent since she joined them. “Now that I'm given the chance, I'm very thankful and grateful for Sparkle, kasi in-unleash nila 'yung talent na hindi ko alam mero'n pala ako. Hindi ko pala alam na mamahalin ko 'yung craft ng acting.”
