Miss World Tracy Maureen Perez joins other celebrities in calling for relief for the victims of Typhoon Odette.

Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez is raising her voice alongside the Miss World Philippines Organization in calling for aid for the victims of Typhoon Odette.

In her Instagram post, Tracy uploaded a graphic from the Miss World Philippines Organization in-kind and monetary donations for those affected by the natural calamity. The post listed bottled water, ready to eat food, rice, blankets, face masks, and alcohol as urgent relief goods.

In her caption, Tracy highlighted the plight of solo parents in Cordova and Argao, explaining that most of the international assistance will probably be focused on cities and provinces that have most of the media's attention. She also explained that cash donations will be used to buy relief goods in Metro Manila so that victims in the area do not need to worry about where to buy what they need.

Tracy highlighting the situation of solo parents is in line with her “Beauty with a Purpose” advocacy, which was recently highlighted in a video posted by the Miss World Organization. In the video, Tracy is shown working with an organization providing solo parents with IT and financial training as well as livelihood programs.

Her advocacy landed her in the top six finalists for the pageant's “Beauty with a Purpose” competition alongside England, India, Kenya, South Africa, and the United States.

Tracy is just one of the many celebrities that have stepped up to speak for the victims of Typhoon Odette as Andi Eigenmann and Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez have also done the same.
