Jak Roberto and Barbie Forteza look back on their favorite summer vacation as a couple
Kapuso couple Jak Roberto and Barbie Forteza took a trip down memory lane as they talked about their summer vacation in Coron, Palawan in 2018.
According to Jak and Barbie, they had fun in Coron even though they ran out of time to explore the whole municipality.
"Nag-Palawan tayo, isang beses, sa Coron tapos nag-island hopping tayo," Jak answered when asked about their favorite summer destination.
"Actually, hindi nga natin natapos 'yung mga island na pupuntahan kasi ginabi na tayo."
Barbie agreed, "Oo, in fairness, nag-enjoy ako. Minaximize natin talaga 'yung oras natin sa bawat island kasi parang nung araw na 'yun, anim na isla 'yung pupuntahan natin.
"Pero tatlo lang 'yung napuntahan namin pero dahil nga sinulit namin 'yung oras namin sa bawat isla, na parang worth it na rin naman."
When asked about their summer plans this year, Barbie and Jak shared that they personally decided to postpone all their trips until after the pandemic.
Jak explained, "Due to the pandemic, maraming restrictions, maraming kailangang requirements bago ka makapunta sa isang lugar na gusto mong puntahan. At the same time, hindi pa rin kami confident na magbakasyon ng pandemic."
Barbie added, "Especially kasama namin 'yung parents ko."
Jak continued, "So kami na 'yung nag-decide na huwag na lang muna. Antayin na lang muna natin na matapos 'to, or mabakunahan lahat bago tayo mag-relax o magbakasyon."
Nevertheless, Jak and Barbie described their "perfect summer vacation."
For Jak, any vacation is perfect if he's with his loved ones.
"Perfect vacation for me is to be with someone you love," he said.
"Alam mo ba nung siguro mga nasa 18 years old pa ako, basta teens teens pa tayo, 'pag pumupunta kami sa bakasyon, wala naman kasi akong girlfriend noon, na-i-imagine ko na, ano kaya one day parang nasa shore ka lang, inaantay mong mag-sunset tapos kaakbay mo si GF?
"Tapos may kasama kang mag-boodle fight, ganun, e. Kasi 'yung mga pinsan ko noon, may love life, na-i-inggit ako."
Fortunately for Jak, he and Barbie had a chance to witness the beautiful sunset of Coron in 2018, fulfilling his definition of a "perfect summer vacation."
Meanwhile, for Barbie, her definition of a "perfect vacation" was when they went to Sapporo, Japan to celebrate Jak's 26th birthday in 2019.
According to Barbie, it was during their winter adventure in Sapporo that they got to know each other deeply.
Barbie explained, "Hindi siya summer vacation pero ang perfect na bakasyon sa akin ay 'yung nag-Sapporo tayo.
"Kaya perfect siya for me kasi doon ko nalaman kung ano 'yung weakness niya, or 'yung strengths niya, ganyan."
Jak then asked Barbie about his qualities that she considered as his strengths and weaknesses.
Barbie replied, "Weakness mo 'yung vlog, I mean 'yung shoot ng vlog na parang dahil doon, nade-delay tayo, 'di ba?
"Nakilala kita na ganun ka pero 'yung strength mo, 'yung pagiging organized mo sa gamit, pagiging punctual niya considering na bakasyon 'yon, napaka-considerate niya sa oras.
"So nakilala talaga namin 'yung mga sarili namin.
"Actually, every moment with you is perfect," she ended before bursting into laughter.
