‘Bubble Gang’ made my dream come true - Sef Cadayona

Comedy takes a lot of wit and timing and Sef Cadayona has mastered it when he joined the longest running gag show in the Philippines, Bubble Gang.

Sef is always grateful to Bubble Gang for opening a lot of opportunities for him and for letting him work with the best people in the industry.

“I'm working with not just one, but I think the best comedians, directors, writers that I have seen. And, I had the privilege to work with Mr. Michael V,” he says.

This year, Sef says that his dream finally came true: “To be a comedian and having a brand for that. I guess ‘yun ‘yung dapat talagang abangan ng tao. Eto na po, proud komedyante na po ako. ”

When it comes to comedy, Sef explains that there is still a lot for him to learn.

“It’s not just about making people laugh. When you're talking with other comedians, it's how technical we get on what is the right timing, or how we approach the joke because it might be offensive. We keep it light and keep it serious but in a way you have to make it look natural and makakarelate yung mga tao sa mga eksena,” he says.

Sef shares that being a comedian is not that easy, and that Bubble Gang has allowed him to fathom many things about gags and comedy shows.

“We’re not trying to be funny, were trying (to make) the scene itself to be funny. Masaya bilang hindi ko naman siya natutunan before, gusto ko lang magpatawa. Masaya at malaking aral ang napulot ko [in Bubble Gang].
