Tuesday Vargas

“The vaccine doesn't shield you 100 percent from the virus kaya dapat mag-ingat talaga.” - Tuesday Vargas

Actress and comedienne Tuesday Vargas revealed in a vlog that she has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time.

The All-Out Sundays star first contracted the coronavirus back in May 2021 when she was not yet vaccinated.

This January 2022, Tuesday revealed in her vlog titled "COVID POSITIVE" in her YouTube channel that she is positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated

She mentioned that among the symptoms she encountered were fever, chills, cough, sore throat, loose bowel movement (LBM), headache, and night sweats. She shared that her partner Joseph Puducay and her son Kaya also tested positive and experienced symptoms of the coronavirus.

Tuesday advised: "Mag-iingat kayo, magpalakas ng katawan. Maging vigilant pa rin kayo para hindi na tayo makahawa pa ng iba at makakuha ng virus.”

"Pangalawang COVID-19 ko na ito. I tested positive in May 2021, tapos ngayon ulit. Pray for us guys, ipagdarasal ko rin lahat ng mga may pinagdadaanan na sakit ngayon.

"Moral of the story here is that, it's good that the cases went down in December….But that doesn't give us license to be relaxed, let go of the protocols…Ito 'yung singil sa pagiging complacent,” she added.

The All-Out Sundays comedienne narrated how she noticed her COVID-19 symptoms after arriving from Boracay Island for vacation with her family.

"We arrived on December 30th, we didn't know there were people who arrived before us that weren't feeling well, we came in close contact with them on the 31st. On January 2, in the evening, 'yun na. I woke up in the middle of the night with a slight fever. On January 4 we got home, we got tested, antigen muna, we all tested negative dito sa bahay,” she shared.

Tuesday added, "Dahil lahat kaming tatlo - Kaya, JP, and me were feeling something - kumakati ang lalamunan namin, so we decided mag-isolate muna kami. Since January 4 we were home. On January 5, we got tested on antigen, we were all negative. On January 6th we tested positive on the antigen. We got an RT-PCR right then and there na drive-through lang. Thank you so much to GMA for facilitating that for us.”

She reflected on what she realized after her second infection with the dreaded virus. “Coronavirus is still present in our communities, ngayon madali siya makahawa, please be vigilant, keep your families healthy, don't go out of your bubbles.”

Tuesday also compared how her second COVID-19 infection was less severe. "The difference is I bounced back more quickly. Sobrang feel na feel ko 'yung pagkakaiba ng bakunado at hindi.”

She continued, "You know your body better than anyone, so alam mo talaga 'yung difference ng may extra layer of protection but that doesn't exclude you from potentially spreading it. Dapat mag-ingat pa rin tayo.”

Tuesday reminded everyone: "The vaccine doesn't shield you 100 percent from the virus kaya dapat mag-ingat talaga. Masarap lumabas at magbakasyon pero hindi natin dapat kalimutan na may pinoprotektahan na pamilya at komunidad. Sana ligtas kayo lahat, I'm sending you love and light wherever you are.”

She also urged people to refrain from harassing anyone who contracted the virus. "Please do not feel ashamed or disappointed in yourself if you ever test positive and you feel unwell if you've done everything to protect yourself.”

"Stop COVID-19 shaming, 'wag na po tayong magsisihan, magtulungan na lang po tayo. Be easy on yourself, take care of yourself, and stop COVID-19 shaming. Stay healthy, God bless, I hope everybody will recover from this."
