Reach your destinations differently this 2020!

Tourists from all over the world visit the Philippines to feel close to nature experience. And in order to reach this humble tropical island, they either have to sail the seas or fly over the oceans. Well, in the little town of Gainza in Camarines Sur, people reach their destinations in five unique ways.

Hanging Bridges

Gainza is surrounded by lush green fields and crystal-clear rivers. Thus, its townspeople built hanging bridges as a link to other barangays. This idea was the quickest solution to replace their former bridges that were destroyed by the previous calamities.

Canoe

Experience a Venetian gondola ride, but in probinsya-style with Gainza's colorful canoes.

According to their punong barangay, “Itong bangka ay ginagamit naming pantawid ng tao. Marami kasi ditong mga kabataang nagsisipag-aral pa sa kabila.

They also considered canoeing as a livelihood, for only PhP2 per ride.

Motorized Padyak

Moving on from the waters, Gainza's motorized padyak is the fastest mode of transportation on land.

It resembles a tricycle, but wider in size. This is because motorized padyaks also carry bags of crops aside from passengers.

The best thing about the rides on motorized padyak is that it lets you enjoy a good Instagram-worthy view of the rice fields.

Motorized Skates

If you want to reach farther destinations in the municipality of Gainza, opt for the motorized skates!

This vehicle travels at a greater speed and can accommodate more passengers. However, a culture of give-and-take is exercised since all motorized skates share the rails. The one with more passengers are prioritized, while the other will have to exit the rails.

Camaligan River Cruise

For a relaxing ride with a guaranteed scenic view, Gainza offers a river cruise that was inspired by the Loboc River Cruise in Bohol.

Located in Camaligan River Park, a ride costs PhP500 per head inclusive of food and drinks. Along with the beautiful scenery, guests may also enjoy live music and a therapeutic massage.
