
Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto was recognized as one of Letran's Grandes Figuras (Outstanding Alumnus) earlier, September 19, at Club Filipino in San Juan.
Vic studied in Colegio de San Juan de Letran from kinder to high school, graduating in 1971.
Senate President Vicente Sotto III received the President Manuel Quezon Award for Government Service. The Sotto family also received the Grandes Familias de Letran award.
GMA News reporter Emil Sumangil was also recognized as Grandes Figuras while the late German Moreno was honored with a Post Humous Award, which was received by his son, Federico Moreno.
Other awardees were Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas, Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop emeritus Oscar Cruz, film director Jose Javier Reyes, Ariel Villasanta, and Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
Letran established the "400 Grandes Figuras" to honor "400 outstanding alumni who are living examples of being a true Letranite."
Letran will be celebrating its Quadricentennial Year in 2020.
