Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Wednesday, April 8 said that healthcare workers who are braving the frontlines deserve special treatment.
The said special treatment comes in the form of cash aid for the medical frontliners.
In celebration of World Health Day, Vico encouraged the public to send appreciation toward the doctors, nurses, and other frontliners who continue carrying out services for the Filipino people.
“This #WorldHeathday, let take time to thank our #HealthHeroes,” he wrote on Instagram.
The mayor also underscored the vital contribution of “health heroes” as he proudly declared that they are deserving of Covid-19 Special Risk Allowance plus the hazard pay.
“As authorized by President Duterte's AO-28, Pasig's health workers will receive an additional 1/4 month 'COVID-19 SPECIAL RISK ALLOWANCE' after the enhanced community quarantine.
“Dagdag pa po ito sa Hazard Pay para sa lahat ng frontliners natin ('yung mga 'di qualified, may transpo/food allowance naman).
"Kung wala ang frontliners natin, hindi natin malulutas ang problema ng Covid-19. They deserve this,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vico has been relentless in assuring that Pasigueños are safe from the deadly coronavirus disease through mobilizing his outstanding initiatives for the city.
