Voltes V: Legacy viewers were in for a treat after they finally heard its closing theme song "Chichi Wo Motomete" with lyrics as the character of Dennis Trillo, Baron Hrothgar, reappeared in its Monday episode, June 26.

After several weeks, Hrothgar is revealed to be alive after he sought asylum from Boazanian slaves. This coincided with the release of the Voltes V: Legacy version of "Chichi Wo Motomete" sung by Matt Lozano, who plays Big Bert in the series, in the end credits.

"Chichi Wo Motomete," which means "I Want Father" in English, is a song about waiting for their father to come back.

Hrothgar is the father of Big Bert and the other two Armstrong brothers, Steve and Little Jon.

He was supposed to be a Boazanian emperor but got enslaved after his secret of being hornless was revealed. In Boazan, aliens without horns are considered slaves and have no right to rule.

Hrothgar then escaped their planet and landed on Earth where he met Mary Ann (Carla Abellana), a scientist, and had three children who are all part of the defense force of the Earth called the Voltes V team. On Earth, Mary Ann named Hrothgar Ned Armstrong.

After going back to Boazan, Prince Zardoz (Martin Del Rosario), who ordered an invasion of Earth, came after Hrothgar without knowing that this is his father which makes Zardoz a half-brother to the Armstrong siblings.

Voltes V: Legacy airs weeknights, 8:00 p.m., on GMA Telebabad, GTV, I Heart Movies, Pinoy Hits, and online via Kapuso Stream.
