Voltes V: Legacy surprised viewers after it showed another beastfighter in its Friday episode (June 16).

After the giant red serpent Negg attacked the volt frigate piloted by Little Jon, Boazan sent another beastfighter to destroy the Camp Big Falcon.

The humanoid robot is Daiga, a muscular monster with three horns. It also has red eye beams that can blow up anything it targets. In the original version of the anime, Negg and Daiga can be combined and were collectively named as "Daineegu." They are the fourth and fifth beastfighters in Voltes V: Legacy respectively, after Dokugaga, Vaizanger, and Gardo.

The four remaining Voltes V team members Steve, Mark, Big Bert, and Jamie can't help but fly their vehicles to save Little Jon and to counter Negg and Daiga's attacks.

As seen on the teaser for the next episode in the end credits, Steve will lose contact with Little Jon after his signal goes off as he battles Negg alone underwater.

Voltes V: Legacy airs weeknights, 8:00 p.m., on GMA Telebabad, GTV, I Heart Movies, Pinoy Hits, and online via Kapuso Stream.
