Kapuso leading man Ruru Madrid is back with another short song cover on his Instagram account.
"Heartbreak Anniversary" is part of Giveon's 2020 debut album 'Take Time.' The album is nominated for Best R&B Album at the upcoming 2021 Grammy Awards.
Ruru has previously shared a video of him covering Pink Sweats' "At My Worst" while playing the guitar.
That was followed by a cover of Olivia Rodrigo's hit song "Driver's License."
Ruru is set to star in the maiden offering of the second season of mini-series anthology I Can See You with Kapuso actress Shaira Diaz.
Their mini-series will be called "On My Way to You" and the lock-in taping for it was held in Antipolo.
It will be directed by Mark Reyes and will also star Arra San Agustin, Gil Cuerva, Malou de Guzman, and Richard Yap.
Ruru will play Jerrick, a man whose fiancée abandoned him at the altar. Meanwhile, Shaira lays Raki, a woman who went viral for being a runaway bride.
The two will meet each other while trying to lick their wounds quietly in a sleepy town away from the city.
In between shooting for their scenes, Ruru and Shaira even took part in a tree-planting activity with a few of their co-stars.
Ruru and Shaira will also be reuniting in the upcoming action adventure series Lolong.
Ruru will play the titular Lolong, a young man who was born with the unique capability to communicate with a giant crocodile who is terrorizing their town.
Meanwhile, Shaira will play a trained assassin named Ria who ends up in the town and will become Lolong's ally.
The two have begun preparing for the series by training for their action-packed roles.
Ruru and Shaira first had a virtual training session for Filipino martial arts Yaw-Yan.
This was followed by an in-person combat training.
