South Korean star Park Ji-hoon's Manila stop for his "Re" Asia Fan Concert Tour has been canceled.
In a statement posted on its official website, YY Entertainment said the August 8 event would no longer push through because of "unavoidable circumstances."
"Hello, this is YY Entertainment. Thank you very much to all of you who support Park Ji-hoon and this Asian Pancon Tour. Due to the unavoidable circumstances of the performance scheduled for Manila on August 8, 2026 (Saturday)," the agency said.
Instead of Manila, the concert will now be staged at The Grand Hall of Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau on the same date.
"Thank you very much to all of you who support Park Ji-hoon and this Asian Pancon Tour. Due to inevitable circumstances of the performance scheduled for Manila on August 8, 2026 (Saturday), we would like to inform you that we have decided to change the city to Macau," the statement read.
The agency also apologized to Filipino fans.
"[We] apologize to all the fans who have been waiting for the Manila performance, and we ask for your understanding. We will do our utmost to ensure that the artist can present a great performance. Thank you."
The canceled concert marks the second time this year that Ji-hoon's appearance in the Philippines has been called off. A brand-sponsored fan meeting slated for March 2026 was likewise canceled.
Ji-hoon last visited the country in September 2023 for the Korea Travel Fiesta. His August concert had been announced in May as part of his Asian fan concert tour promoting his single album Re, which includes the track Bodyelse.
The singer-actor first gained widespread attention after placing second on the 2017 survival program Produce 101 Season 2, leading to his debut with the project boy group Wanna One.
Since then, he has built a career as both a solo artist and an actor, earning recognition for his performances in the Netflix series Weak Hero Class and the historical drama film The King's Warden.
