Wendell Ramos once again captured the attention of viewers after his intense confrontation scene with Bruce Roeland in the July 24 episode of GMA Afternoon Prime series Kamao.

In the sports family drama series, Wendell and Bruce portray father and son, with Wendell playing Caloy, a former boxer who is now working as a promoter, while Bruce takes on the role of Lance, a confident and ambitious aspiring boxing champion.

In the previous episode of Kamao, viewers praised Wendell's acting performance after Caloy confronted his son following Lance's reaction to Anton Vinzon's character MakMak defeating Julian “Matador” Gonzales, portrayed by Raheel Bhyria.

Caloy reminded Lance to continue training hard to achieve his goal of becoming a top boxer. His tough words reflected his desire to push his son to become better and overcome challenges inside and outside the ring.

Meanwhile, Lance gained the sympathy of viewers after receiving his father's harsh and unfiltered remarks.

One commenter on YouTube said, "Nakakaawa naman talaga si Lance kaya naging ganyan s'ya kasi 'di n'ya nakikita ang pagmamahal ng ama n'ya. Kaya feeling ko, hindi yata s'ya totoong anak ni Caloy kaya insecure si Lance kay MakMak, e."

Many fans also reacted to the heated father-and-son exchange, highlighting the strong performances of both Wendell and Bruce.

Another commenter said, "Ang galing galing talaga um-acting ni Wendell Ramos. Ramdam na ramdam ko yung galit niya, parang totoong galit na galit siya. Galing gumawa ng GMA ng mga ganitong palabas na teleserye."

Kamao airs weekdays at 3:20 p.m. after Born To Shine on GMA. It also airs overseas via GMA Pinoy TV.
