Winwyn Marquez is set to portray a villain in the upcoming Kapuso rom-com series, Owe My Love. But unlike her character Trixie Gibs who has hang-ups about her ex, the Kapuso actress proves she has fully moved on from her previous relationship with Mark Herras.
Winwyn joined her co-stars at the virtual media conference of Owe My Love on Thursday, February 4. It was during the press interview when the Kapuso actress was probed about the status of her heart.
She revealed in high spirits, “Masaya, masaya naman. I'm not single anymore. So happy.”
Winwyn admitted that her relationship is fairly new. While she looks forward to creating more memories with her boyfriend, she doesn't fret that she won't get to spend their first Valentine's Day together as she will remain in their lock-in taping.
She continued, saying, “I'm happy kasi kahit naman nandito sa lock-in [taping], nakukuwento ko din 'yung story ko, 'yung nangyari sa akin, ganyan, kung paano nakahanap ng new love with my castmates, and it's such a refreshing thing kasi ang dami nilang nabibigay na advice.
“And hindi ako nalulungkot, siyempre kasi feeling ko nandito na rin siya. Ganun nalang din 'yung nafi-feel ko kasi pinaparamdam sa akin nina Ms. Ai(ai delas Alas), nina Ben(jamin Alves), nina Kiray (Celis), nina Lovi (Poe) na I am not alone here 'di ba. So happy naman, happy 'yung heart ko, and happy ako dito. So kahit malayo 'yung loved one ko, okay lang. 'saka na kami magkikita, after lock-in.”
She also wished that she has found “the one,” saying, “I hope so. Siyempre sabi ko naman 'di ba 'pag maghahanap ka naman ng special someone mo, sana 'yun na talaga. I hope so.”
Winwyn blissfully entering a new relationship also meant her being happy for her former boyfriend, Mark. The Kapuso actor has just welcomed his son, baby Corky with his fiancée Nicole Donesa.
She disclosed, “I haven't talked to him since we broke up and wala pa kaming chance to work together or guesting. Pero siyempre if I see him or magkaroon kami ng chance magtrabaho ulit, siyempre I'll congratulate him.”
But while Winwyn's story is about healing and moving on, this is not the case for her character in Owe My Love.
The Kapuso actress will portray Trixie Gibs, a kontrabida in the love story of Sensen Guipit and Doc Migs Alcancia, Lovi and Benjamin's characters, respectively, who will do everything to destroy their budding romance and win back her ex.
Owe My Love is slated for the world premiere on February 15, 2021.
It features a powerhouse cast that includes Leo Martinez, Nova Villa, Jackie Lou Blanco, Ruby Rodriguez, Mike “Pekto” Nacua, Ryan Eigenmann, Buboy Villar, Jelai Andres, Jon Gutierrez, Jason Francisco, Divine Tetay, Terry Gian, and Mahal.
